The Choice Point Book Launch
We had exciting invitations from the French Riviera and the Hamptons for our U.S. launch of The Choice Point. Jo chose to return to her roots, her hometown of Freeport, NY. Her homecoming aligns with the central theme of The Choice Point, coming back to your values and your purpose. Meanwhile, for the U.K. launch Jon chose to take part in a prominent academic workshop on Imagery and Cognition.
The Freeport Memorial Library is 40 miles west of Manhattan in a multicultural town that makes more headlines for its struggle than its successes. It is not a wealthy place when measured by money, but its roots are deep, and it has a feeling of authenticity. Jon joined Jo virtually to share insights and ideas with a live audience in a conversation with Regina G. Feeney, the Freeport Librarian/Archivist. Jon and Jo had the opportunity to share the inspiration behind the book, the science, and the journey of creating this first non-academic book on Functional Imagery Training (FIT). Hachette, our publisher, donated books and all sales went directly to the library. Jo was also present to autograph a few copies!
The U.K. launch took place at the European Workshop on Imagery and Cognition held in Cambridge. This event brought together prominent psychology scholars and experts, providing an ideal platform for the Imagery Coaching team to showcase their groundbreaking research on training imagery for athletes with aphantasia. Jon and IC’s Director of Education Karol Nedza presented our latest findings and engaged in insightful discussions about The Choice Point with industry-leading luminaries.
We like to say that Jon is the head and Jo is the heart of Imagery Coaching. The independent yet unified releases of The Choice Point in the US and UK highlight this distinction.
